About Michto Rex

​Michto was born in France. He studied French literature in Limoges and architecture at École des Beaux-Arts in Paris.

He had various exhibitions in Paris of nude portraits and some of his early paintings.

Since moving to London, he exhibited another collection of paintings at a private gallery in Harringay North London, also at First Out Cafe in Central London and some sculptures at the Furniture Union in Soho. Several other paintings were also shown in London during the last few years. Some paintings were displayed in Norman Court School (Southern England). He had an exhibition in San Lorenzo de El Escurial (Madrid), and another one in London at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. He has also been commissioned to do paintings (portraits, flowers...), sculptures and pottery. Some of his sculptures were featured in the lifestyle magazine ‘Your Home Magazine’.

He works with photography, mainly sculptural and natural but unusual views in black and white.

He divides his time between writing, painting, sculpture and photography. Some of his works are available to buy on print on the site of the Saatchi.

"À la recherche de Marilyn Monroe" is his first novel.(in French) published last November.. The next novel published later this year will be: "Sobek, confession d'un meurtrier." (Sobek, confession of a murderer)...

“Autodafé” at the Miles Art Pavilion(London) was his last solo exhibition in 2013, with more than hundred of paintings, some sculptures and ceramics : both auto de fe in medieval Spanish and auto da fé in Portuguese mean "act of faith".
